Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (VMO) is a rare neoplasm, which currently referred to as mesenchymal neoplasm with intermediate biological potential. The consists of differentiated fusiform cells. frequency occurrence VMO among primary lung neoplasms up 1%. This type the most common tumors in children. can occur both childhood and adulthood. found soft tissues abdominal cavity, pelvic organs, larynx, mammary gland, head neck tissues. Extra-organ localization (retroperitoneal space, mediastinum) also diagnosed. Lung often has no clinical manifestations, if present nonspecific symptoms, such cough, hemoptysis, shortness breath, hyperthermia, chest pain. was previously considered benign course, but these tend local relapses distant metastasis. article presents data on prevalence, manifestations treatment VMO, well own observation course this disease an 8-year-old child.
